Workshops & Speaking

A good counsellor is a good listener, but Kaz Amos is also a great speaker. It was during her early 20’s that she decided to use the ‘gift of the gab’ to share the best of her knowledge and experiences. Since then Kaz has been creating, presenting and facilitating workshops, that are not only educational but also inspirational.

Kaz is available to customise a presentation specifically for your workplace or group, as well as facilitating half and full day seminars and workshops. She’d love to discuss speaking at your next event.  Simply call or email to arrange a conversation with Kaz to bring a fantastic speaker for your organisation.

Here are some of the topics she covers:

  • Mindfulness for Bigs – ideal for your school staff development day
  • Mindfulness for Littles – ideal for your preschool or primary school staff development
  • Trauma Informed Care – great for a workplace that is looking after people who have experienced trauma in their life
  • Mental Health at Work, Rest and Play – general education on mental health topics and how to manage your own mental health
  • Wingman – become the Ultimate Wingman at work – it’s a mental health awareness workshop for the male population in your workplace.
  • Work Life Integration – written for women at work, trying to balance the scales of work and life.  Let’s debunk the myths that women must be and have it all.

What our participants say about Kaz’s workshops…

Really enjoyed the energy and the openness of the presenter Karen.  Love how she broke everything down into easy steps”  Wingman – MARS

The presentation and the knowledge of the presenter was the best of the best, that I have seen at MARS.  Lots of knowledge and information to help and be helped” Wingman – MARS

“We were blessed to have Karen run a workshop with our staff on mindfulness and meditation. Our school teaches students who have experienced many stresses in their life due to teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, homelessness, mental health disorders or autism. Our staff really valued the evidenced informed information that Karen provided. She delivered it in a relaxed and practical way which gave our staff an opportunity to learn the BOLD strategy – breathe, observe, listen, decide. This strategy has proven to be beneficial for our students and our staff to support their wellbeing. Highly recommend Karen to support your staff.”  Mindfulness in School – DALE Christian School

“I would like to personally say thank you for your workshop session as part of our Staff Development. It was just like a relaxed, honest catch up with a group of long time friends. Your knowledge and experience came through like rays of sunshine. Your honesty and relaxed nature allowed all of us to think and reflect on our practices; especially the ways we can be kind and forgiving to ourselves. This in turn will only benefit the students, teachers and community that we work with. We are all very blessed at St Brendan’s to have had the opportunity to experience and learn from your many shared techniques. Mental health is so important to our everyday well being, for ourselves and the many students that we cross paths with.” Mindfulness for Bigs and Littles – St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School

“Karen was such a fantastic speaker to our staff group. In a busy school environment, I often forget to stop, be mindful, and think about giving more time to myself and my loved ones. Karen was able to provide me with a number of strategies that I can incorporate into my day-to-day life to help me become more mindful, less stressed and ‘busy’, and take notice of my emotional wellbeing. I can also pass on some of these mindfulness strategies to the children that I teach to foster a sense of ‘calm’ within my classroom environment. A win-win all round!”  Mindfulness for Bigs and Littles – St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School

“We were very fortunate to have Karen as a guest presenter at our recent Mindfulness Day for staff. We are a Catholic Primary School Staff and the techniques and strategies Karen taught us really hit the point of need for us. Staff came away equipped with the knowledge and skills to deal with the pressures of teaching. Feedback from all who attended was positive and we would not hesitate to call on Karen to facilitate our next reflection day. Thanks Karen!!”  Mindfulness for Bigs and Littles – St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School
